Sorry for the Two-sie!

Let me first preface this story by "I know better". I have made all of James' food, except for the rice cereal he ate until he was 6 months old. One of our neighbors received some baby food as part of their baby gifts, but Creighton is not old enough to have solid foods yet and the food expires June 08. Yesterday I thought, let's just use this while we have it and see if James likes it. It was Prunes & Apples. Yes, I know prunes are an excellent "motivator" for the colon. I know James likes apples, so let's just see if he likes prunes before I buy the dried ones and try to make him a puree out of them (and I forgot to thaw out a few servings of his pears & apples). So, he had prunes & apples. He loved them! So much so that I decided to give him a container as part of his dinner Friday, lunch yesterday, breakfast this morning, and lunch today. Well, first of all, I should have left well enough alone after I changed 3 #2 diapers between 9 am and noon. But, I insist he will be ok and decide to give his lunch serving today. He stayed with some friends of mine for me to go grocery shopping and to have a break for a few hours. He had a two-sie there and then 2 more when he got home before he went to bed at 8:30! Yikes. Lesson learned. Will NOT repeat that mistake. If your child has a problem with regularity (and mine does not), this is your answer. Laugh...I have, and I still can't believe I kept on feeding him prunes eventhough I knew this would happen. I'm just glad there are disposable diapers.

Maybe you should try the prunes and apples on Marc when he gets home..he needs a little motivation sometimes...just be prepared to leave the house for several hours...and for goodness sake don't leave James behind.
